June 23, 2009, Ed McMahon dies at 86 years of age. McMahon died shortly after midnight at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. McMahon’s publicist Howard Bragman did not release the cause of death, saying only that McMahon had quite a few health problems within the last few months.”

It’s been a long time coming; finally Los Angeles California got something partially right. The conviction of Phil Spector for second degree murder is like a breath of fresh air. Phil Spector faces a possible sentence of 18 years to life, which is not too long. Although by the time he gets sentenced and after a few appeals, Phil Spector may be in his 70s.

Monday June 1, 2009 is a Historical day for NBC. Tonight marks the inaugural debut of The Tonight Show‘s new host Conan O’Brien. Conan O’Brien is the successor of Actor/Comedian Jay Leno, who maintained a number one late night ranking throughout his 17 year tenure.
Will Ferrell appeared as the first guest with Conan O’Brien as our new host.
Musical Guest Pearl Jam, played their new song “Get Some”. The 90s grunge band shredded through the song tonight for the first time in public.

Will Smith isn’t exactly directing the Karate Kid remake, but he has announced that his production company, Overbooked Entertainment will be spearheading the rendition. According to Will Smith, the new movie will have a Chinese adaptation that will undoubtedly change the martial arts style and its title, rumored to be called “Kung Fu Kid.”

After 17 years, Jay Leno says goodbye to “The Tonight Show”. It seems like yesterday that Jay Leno took over for Johnny Carson, but that was way back in 1992. We’ll miss Jay Leno dearly, but Conan O’Brien will be a fantastic successor. Conan O’Brien is set to take over on Monday June 1st.
